Snorkel U.K. Names PLP Lift Trucks as Authorized Regional Dealer
Snorkel U.K., the sales and service provider for Snorkel lifts in the U.K. and Ireland has named Sheffield, U.K.-based PLP Lift Trucks as an authorized regional dealer. The agreement authorizes PLP to sell and service Snorkel lifts in Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire, alongside Snorkel U.K.
PLP Lift Trucks was founded in 1972 and specializes in the material handling sector for the rental, sale and servicing of industrial forklifts, as well as providing accredited operator training. PLP is an authorized Cesab forklift dealer and has years of experience with other forklift brands.
“PLP is an experienced, reliable and well-respected name in the industrial forklift industry, with a proven track record as a dealer through their agreement with Cesab,” said Andrew Fishburn, divisional managing director of Snorkel U.K. “This cooperation gives Snorkel U.K. improved access to the industrial market through a trusted partner, whilst also providing additional sales, rental and service opportunities for the PLP team.”
“We have been involved in the sale, service and repair of powered access equipment previously, however, this was not at a dealership level,” said John Organ, managing director, PLP Lift Trucks. “Powered access products are a great fit for our customer base, and earlier this year we began our search for a powered access brand that would match the high quality materials handling products already in our portfolio. We approached Snorkel U.K. and were extremely impressed by their products, U.K. manufacturing facility and what they could offer as a supplier. We particularly liked how the Snorkel lifts were designed for the hire market, and their recent design investments that ensure they are fit for purpose for the day-to-day wear and tear usually associated with a typical hire.”
PLP Lift Trucks invested in three Snorkel lifts – a Snorkel TM12 telescopic mast lift, a Snorkel S3219E electric slab scissor lift, and a Snorkel A38E electric articulated boomlift, all of which will be deployed in the company’s hire (rental) fleet initially, the company said.
