Aerial work platform manufacturer Terex AWP has delivered the first units as part of a broad mix of 58 Genie boomlifts and scissorlifts to its customer Eurogrues Morocco, significantly increasing the company’s offering adapted to safe work at height in Morocco’s rapidly expanding construction sector.
As Morocco’s leading lift, access and material-handling rental provider, Eurogrues is involved in a range of large-scale port development, power plant, wind and industrial construction projects, many of which are backed by European-based multinational investors.
“Safety is a key focus, and with this new Genie order our company is now ready to provide the industry-leading equipment our customers rely on to work at height, adapted to both their specific needs and industry safety standards,” said Hatim Jaadour, sales director, Eurogrues, Moocco.
The deal, which was signed at the recent Bauma show in Munich, Germany, includes all-electric and diesel-powered Genie GS scissorlifts and Genie ZX and Genie Z articulating boomlifts, with working heights ranging from 8 meters (26+ feet) to 43 meters (141 feet).
“In addition to the best-in-class capabilities and quality of the products, we were impressed by the advice provided by the Genie team,” said Jose Antonio Moreno, managing director, Eurogrues Morocco.
“This order stands for the most significant investment in new aerials ever signed in Morocco,” said Christophe Rousseau, sales director for Southern Europe, Northern and Central Africa, Terex AWP. “We are proud Genie could be part of it and are confident this new business relationship will help support the culture of safety at height in the construction industry in Morocco.”
