US Markets, a wholesale lift equipment rental and sales specialist, has launched a used equipment sales service. Available inventory includes a wide selection of pre-owned and re-conditioned boomlifts, scissorlifts, telehandlers and carry-deck cranes. Managing the used equipment department is Mike Ferguson.

Ferguson recently joined US Markets after more than 20 years of experience in sales management and new business development with several lift equipment sales and rental companies. Most recently, he was territory manager for IronPlanet, an online equipment auction company. Before that, Ferguson was vice president of aerial re-rental specialist Acme Lift.

US Markets specializes in aerial workplatforms and telehandlers. “Odds are good that we’ll have the equipment customers are looking for, but if we don’t, we will find it,” Ferguson noted. “USM is in business to provide our customers with the highest quality equipment at a fair price. Plus, we can offer our customers any level of reconditioning they desire.”

Used equipment customers can also rent with a purchase option, where a portion of the monthly re-rental fee is applied toward equity of the equipment. Customers can also finance the purchase through a third party or through USM. All used equipment, unless otherwise noted, is inspected for proper function by USM’s OEM-trained technicians. Current inventory includes equipment manufactured by JLG, Genie, Pettibone, Terex and others.

“Mike was tapped to manage our growing used equipment inventory because he is uniquely positioned to understand the rental industry’s needs,” said USM general manager Chad Cochrane. “Previous success at managing millions of dollars in assets and overseeing new branch start-ups make him a valuable addition to the US Markets team."
