National Trench Safety, a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, trench and traffic safety engineering, and OSHA-compliant training classes, has opened a new branch operation in Mobile, Ala. The new branch will be managed by Jon Frits, a trench-safety veteran with significant industry and branch management experience.
“Mobile will be an important industrial market for us and immediately strengths our branch network along the Gulf Coast into Florida,” said Ron Chilton, president of NTS. “We’re fortunate to have several key customers we’ve worked with in the market the last few years and will be looking to expand service and coverage to these customers as well as other customers in the Mobile and surrounding market.”
Of Frits, Chilton said, “He is an industry veteran that understands the market and the customer base very well. Jon also has a very thorough understanding of the equipment and excavation conditions that contractors typically face within this market, so he’ll be an immediate asset to our customer base as we grow the Mobile operation.”
The Mobile branch is the 23rd location for NTS in the United States. NTS has operations in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.
Chilton said further expansion will be coming in 2014 and 2015.
