Used Equipment Prices and Volume Increase during March, EquipmentWatch Reports
Nationwide used equipment prices increased 0.6 percent during March, with volume increasing 3.4 percent compared to February, according to the latest version of the monthly EquipmentWatch index. Prices rose in the Southeast 1.5 percent in March, while volume jumped 8.9 percent in March in the Southwest.
The Index, which can be downloaded for free, includes state-by-state price and volume indices, as well as results of marketplace activities, public auctions and private resale.
Charts also include information on age benchmarks by category. Average age resale and average age on auction sales are available on the following categories: 4WD articulated wheel loaders, crawler-mounted compact excavators, crawler-mounted hydraulic excavators, electric self-propelled scissorlifts, pneumatic tire lift trucks, self-propelled telescopic boom aerial lifts, skid-steer loaders, standard crawler dozers, telescoping boom rough terrain lift trucks, and tractor-loader backhoes.
Charts also include age benchmarks by manufacturer covering resale and auction results. Manufacturers include Bobcat, Case, Caterpillar, Deere, Gehl, Genie, Hyster, Ingersoll Rand, JCB, JLG, Komatsu, New Holland, Sky Trak, Skyjack and Volvo.
