Snorkel will debut two machines for the North American market at The Rental Show 2014 in Orlando, Fla., next week. The Snorkel S3970RT, previewed at Bauma last spring, is now ANSI-certified and available to order in the United States. This compact rough-terrain scissorlift provides a maximum platform height of 37 feet, 8 inches, but it only 5 feet, 10 inches wide. With a lift capacity of 771 pounds and a roll-out deck extension for extra reach, the S3970RT is designed for work in confined spaces, such as between industrial buildings.
Snorkel will also be showing the ANSI-spec S3010E for the first time, which was also previewed as a prototype at Bauma. Providing a 10-foot maximum platform height, the S3010E has a high amp/hour rating for an extended operating period between battery charges.
With a gross weight of 1,091 pounds, the unit is lightweight enough for many floors with load-bearing restrictions. Measuring 30 inches wide, the machine passes through standard interior doorways. It can be driven at full height and has a skid-steer system for a zero inside turning radius.
Snorkel will also display a number of established rental products, including the A46JE all-electric articulated boomlift; the A38E all-electric articulated boomlift; the UL32 push-around mast lift; TL39 towable boomlift and the Pop-Up PUSH Pro 10 low-level access lift.
Snorkel will also be displaying a vintage TB60 Snorkel boomlift, built in 2006, which has recently been through the Snorkel Rebuild Program at the company’s Elwood, Kan., facility.
