National Trench Safety Acquires Dallas-Based Traffic Safety Specialist
National Trench Safety, a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, as well as OSHA-compliant training classes, has acquired certain operating assets of Ennis Traffic Safety Center One Stop retail operation in Dallas.
“We are very excited to be adding the ETSCOS operation to our branch network,” said Ron Chilton, NTS president. “The acquisition of ETSCOS presented NTS with a strategic opportunity to accelerate the market penetration of our traffic paint business in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Growing the traffic safety business, and particularly the traffic paint line, has been a key focus for NTS for the last few years, so the opportunity presented a strong operational fit.
“We plan to continue operating the traffic paint business from the existing ETSCOS facility for Dallas. We will continue to operate from the current NTS branch location in Irving, Texas, which will serve as our hub for trench and traffic safety needs for the market. We anticipate several cross-selling opportunities for the ETSCOS customer base through the additional products and services NTS provides.”
Fred Burlbaw will lead the integration of the operation with the existing NTS branch location. “Fred is a seasoned rental industry veteran and we’re very fortunate to have him managing this process,” Chilton said. “Fred has been a fixture in the Dallas market for many years and has a strong knowledge of the market as well as relationships with customers in the market. We anticipate a quick, seamless integration under Fred’s leadership.”
The new branch will be NTS’ 21st location in the United States. NTS currently has operations in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Utah. The company plans to open additional new branch operations in 2013 with additional branches planned to follow in 2014.
