TNT Crane & Rigging has acquired the assets of TSD Crane & Rigging and Greenergy Construction & Maintenance LLC. The transaction extends TNT’s footprint into the Permian Basin, the oil and gas exploration area in west Texas and southeast New Mexico, as well as the Texas Panhandle region and up into Kansas. The acquisition gives TNT new branches in Odessa and Canadian, Texas.
TNT also named Kregg Lunsford president. Lunsford has served as executive vice president and chief development officer since joining TNT Crane last year and has led the strategic growth initiatives of the company including the acquisitions of Southway Crane & Rigging as well as TSD and Greenergy. The new operations will position TNT to partner with its oilfield and refinery customers as they grow their businesses in these strategic markets.
“I am excited for the company as Kregg moves into his new role as president,” said Mike Appling, CEO of TNT. “He has successfully executed our growth initiatives since joining the TNT team and has been an invaluable partner during the process. I am continuing as CEO and we will work closely together building our business. His past experience as a public company CEO and EVP of international operations brings a broad and deep skill set to the TNT management team and his leadership will drive our success into the future.”
“We are very optimistic about the growth opportunities that TSD and Greenergy bring,” said Lunsford. “We’re not only picking up additional crane assets in targeted locations but these companies also bring an abundance of young talented managers and key seasoned veterans that will lead our expansion in these high-growth markets.”
TNT Crane is based in Houston.
