The Infrastructure-Americas division of worldwide scaffolding, shoring and forming rental giant Harsco Corp. has opened a new logistics supercenter in Las Vegas. The new supercenter model brings together Harsco’s rental equipment resources and replaces “non-customer-facing” functions previously performed in Los Angeles, Denver, Salt Lake City and Phoenix.

In addition to streamlining processes, the supercenter has state-of-the-art technology, the company said, including modern warehouse management systems.

“This is a new way of doing business for us that will deliver more integrated solutions and greater value to our customers,” said Harsco Infrastructure CEO Ivor Harrington, who joined Harsco in July. “Our next phase of implementation will replicate this model across North America with additional centers in key strategic locations in the United States and Canada. Our broadly based, multi-branch model of the past was right for its time, but today’s climate requires a different solution.”

Harsco Corp. is based in Harrisburg, Pa.
