Manitowoc last week announced it launched a website for dealers and customers offering its crane-inspired chopper for rent. The company first unveiled the chopper at ConExpo 2008 in Las Vegas in March, while in May it was featured in the popular “American Chopper” show on cable TV’s The Learning Channel. Now, the distinctive custom-built motorcycle is available for display at open houses, conferences, employee events or any other suitable occasion in the United States.
Visitors to the Website, www.manitowocchopper.com, can make reservations for the chopper using the online calendar function to request a booking. Manitowoc will work with the renter to arrange the chopper rental, providing all supplies and transportation needs.
Amanda Barbarossa, marketing communications manager for Manitowoc in the Americas, said the rental program would bring the chopper to a wider audience of crane and bike enthusiasts.
“The chopper was a real hit on our stand at ConExpo 2008 and well received at our dealer event at the show,” Barbarossa said. “When it was featured on the American Chopper show we got great feedback, so we decided to make it available to customers and dealers to utilize at their own events. The chopper embodies the spirit, innovation and power of Manitowoc and will make an eye-catching addition to any event.”
All information and documentation required to rent the chopper is available at www.manitowocchopper.com. There is also a photo gallery displaying the bike and a link to the Manitowoc store where users can buy promotional items branded with the logo of Orange County Choppers, creators of the Manitowoc chopper and stars of the “American Chopper” show.
