International industrial services and products company Harsco Corp. said last week that its Patent Construction Systems division has received more than $1 million in orders to provide a range of rental access equipment and services on three major league stadium projects already under construction in the New York metropolitan area.
The projects include the new Yankee Stadium; Citi Field, future home of the New York Mets; and the Prudential Center hockey arena being build in Neward, N.J., for the New Jersey Devils.
For the Yankee Stadium project, Patent’s formwork will be used to support the cast-in-place concrete construction of the new stadium’s enclosed lower concourse levels. On both the Citi Field and Prudential Center projects, Patent is providing and installing a range of rental scaffolding equipment and access towers throughout construction.
The Prudential Center arena is scheduled to be completed for the 2007-08 hockey season, while the new Yankee Stadium and Citi Field are scheduled for baseball’s opening day 2009.
The Patent division is part of Harsco’s $1.1 billion global Access Services business group, which provides rental scaffolding, formwork and other access-related services to the global non-residential construction, industrial plant maintenance and energy markets.
