ThyssenKrupp Safway, one of North America’s leading provider of scaffolding services, last week named Ray Arndt vice president of sales and marketing, a newly created position. Arndt will work closely with ThyssenKrupp Safway division vice presidents Larry Mickwee, Jeff Voss and Bill Rodgers to help develop and propel branch and national sales and business development.

“Ray has an exceptional amount of background knowledge and expertise that will be of great value to the company,” said ThyssenKrupp Safway president and CEO Marc Wilson. “I believe the addition of his role is critical to our growth and success over the next several years.”

In the future, Arndt will oversee ThyssenKrupp Safway’s specialized product groups, such as the bridge and motorized divisions.

Arndt previously held key executive leadership roles within the service divisions of Hewlett Packard and Compaq.

In other personnel moves, branch manager Edward Rodriguez, who has been responsible for the company’s Miami branch since October 1998 has shifted locations to take over managerial operations for the Houston and Beaumont, Texas, branches.
