Aerial work manufacturer Snorkel introduced six new core products at Bauma last week.
The Snorkel T46JRT is the first in a new group of mid-size boomlifts with a common chassis. This 16-meter telescopic boomlift has a 2-meter jib, delivering outreach of 12.2 meters with less than 0.9-meter tailswing. The boom can be extended and raised to full height in 35 seconds.
The unit replaces the Snorkel TB46JRT and the UpRight SB46 boomlifts. Snorkel is planning to launch further articulating and telescopic boomlifts on the same chassis during the next 12 months.
Snorkel also introduced five new scissorlifts. The Snorkel S1930E and S1932E deliver a working height of up to 7.8 meters and a platform capacity of 227 kg. The units have an inside turning radius of less than 130 mm. The machines replace the old Snorkel S1930 and the UpRight MX19.
The new Snorkel S2632E, S2646E and S3246E replace the UpRight X26N, X26 and X32 models and the old Snorkel S2646 and S3246. The S2632E is a maneuverable narrow scissorlift, with a working height of up to 10 meters and a platform capacity of 340kg. The S2646E is a 1.2-meter-wide version, with a 12-meter working height.
The S1930E is in full production. Snorkel plans to phase in the remaining S Series during the late summer and autumn of 2010.
