JCB launched five new product introductions at the Bauma trade fair in Munich, Germany, last week.
JCB Attachments has developed a double-locking quickhitch that features independent locking of the front and rear pins. Designed for use with tracked excavators, the hitch is compatible with JCB buckets and the full range of JCB powered attachments.
JCB’s new 515-40 compact telescopic handler is the result of an innovative design that keeps the machine’s overall height under six feet, for use in compact spaces. The unit is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 5 feet, 2 inches wide, with an off-set single-spine main frame, and still has a full-sized cab.
“This machine brings the maneuverability and power of the telescopic handler to nurseries, small farms, landscape contractors, building supply yards, warehouses and many other applications,” said Chris Giorgianni, general manager of product marketing at JCB North America.
The JCB 8085 ZTS midi excavator offers increased torque, reduced fuel consumption, upgraded controls and various other improvements. It is powered by an Interim Tier-4-compliant, turbocharged 2.2-liter Isuzu engine offering 58 horsepower. The AMS system incorporates a large LCD display screen with three menu modes, for settings, diagnostics and calibration.
JCB’s backhoe loader adds a new EcoDig system incorporating three hydraulic pumps to provide the same hydraulic output but at lower engine speeds, delivering average fuel savings of up to 15 percent, the company said.
JCB also introduced the compact 527-28 Loadall and high-capacity 550-80 Loadall to its telescopic handler fleet. The 527-58 is small, 6 feet, 6 inches wide with a maximum lifting capacity of 6,000 pounds and a lift height of more than 19 feet. The 550-80 is JCB’s highest capacity Loadall, with a lift height of 26 feet and maximum lifting capacity of 11,000 pounds.
