SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California Rental Association will hold a convention and trade show March 20-22, 2007, in Bakersfield, Calif. The CRA Rental Rally tradeshow will include equipment exhibits, a demo area, seminars, cocktail parties and a western-style dinner/dance.
Bakersfield is located in California's central valley, about 100 miles north of Los Angeles. Exhibitors will be able to deliver and set up equipment themselves. Rental companies can pay a flat fee of $100 for owners and as many staff as they want to attend the three-day show.
“We've had a lot of interest from suppliers who have expressed that the time is right to return to a kick-the-tires show,” CRA executive director Dale Blackwell told RER. “Based on our feedback from members, our priority was to hold the show in a central location members can drive to. This will be an easy drive from Southern California and accessible by car from Northern California or Nevada.”
The event will be held at the Kern County Fairgrounds, which, Blackwell said, has a large facility, with ample space for equipment demos and possibly an equipment rodeo. He said the fairgrounds are centrally located within Bakersfield, with ample hotel and restaurants close by and concessions on site.
RV parking is available on site as well, Blackwell added.
