Speedy Hire, the United Kingdom’s largest tool and equipment rental company increased revenue 15.7 percent for its fiscal quarter ended June 30, according to its interim management statement.
Chairman Ishbel Macpherson said the company is in line to deliver full year results in line with expectations. Macpherson said the U.K. and Ireland division, which constitutes 94 percent of the company’s revenues, has delivered revenue growth of 15.6 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
“We have seen good progress in all our target cities, in London and Manchester in particular we have seen growth over the same period in the prior year of 18.9 percent and 17.2 percent respectively,” Macpherson said. “Additionally, our Partnered Services Division grew by 50.8 percent over the same period in the prior year, a result of our Integrated Services Strategy.
“The new U.K. and Ireland senior management team is now in place. The reconfiguration of the depot network has seen the successful delivery of two further superstores, Coventry and Aberdeen.”
Macpherson added that the new management team in the International Division is now in place.
