Skyjack Introduces Rough Terrain Electric Scissorlift to European Customers
Skyjack introduced its new electric rough-terrain scissorlift in Europe this week at APEX 2014 in Amsterdam. The SJ 6832 RTE was also handed over to its new owner, Swiss equipment rental firm SkyAccess AG at the annual international access exhibition held June 24-26.
The new SJ 6832 RTE combines the benefits of its diesel-powered counterpart with a powerful and efficient electric engine, allowing users to switch between indoor and outdoor use. The unit has 45-percent gradeability and four-wheel drive as standard. It can handle a maximum of 1,000 pounds and offers a maximum 32-foot working height.
“The access market in Europe is shifting towards green machines, so we need electrically powered products with powerful performance suited to a huge variety of jobsites,” said Martin Vogtli, SkyAccess managing director. “We have more than 275 Skyjack platforms already. They are reliable and easy-to-use machines. We are delighted to have the first SJ 6832 RTE in Europe.”
“APEX was the perfect event to showcase the new SJ 6832 RTE and visitors were impressed with how well it meets the needs and demands of jobsites in Europe,” said Malcolm Early, vice president of marketing for Skyjack. “The machine offers the best of both worlds. You can take it from rough terrain to indoor projects seamlessly without any extra noise, emissions or costs.”
