    RusRental Publishes Rental Survey of Russian Mining Companies

    RusRental, the Russian rental association, has published results of a recent survey “Equipment Rental in Russian Mining Industry,” which shows an increasing awareness of the rental option among Russian mining companies.

    A graph from the “Equipment Rental in Russian Mining Industry” survey report shows the ratio of owned and rented machines and equipment.

    Excavators and dozers are the machines most frequently rented by Russian mining firms, as 30 percent of those companies rent those items. Twenty-five percent of the Russian mining companies surveyed rent mobile cranes, 25 percent rent scaffolding, 23 percent rent formwork, 22 percent rent loaders and 20 percent rent modular space units.

    Another graph from the RusRental survey shows that the most often rented machines in Russia’s mining industry are dozers and excavators.


    Equipment such as aerial work platforms, rollers, tower cranes and concrete pumps are not currently rented by Russian mining companies.

    The survey shows that attitudes towards rental differ strongly in various parts of Russia, with rental being used rarely in some areas.
