IPAF to Consider Additional Training for Large AWPs

July 10, 2013

The International Powered Access Federation has set up a working group to consider whether additional training should be recommended or required of operators of “very large” boomlifts and scissorlifts. One of the tasks of the group will be to define the scope of what is meant by “very large” aerial work platforms.

The findings and recommendations of the working group will be reviewed by the next full meeting of the IPAF UK Country Council Sept. 19. In the meantime, companies with relevant experience of the issues involved in manufacturing, marketing, renting and operating large booms and scissors are invited to share their input by contacting IPAF’s technical officer at [email protected].
