Peter Dahlsten, former leader of Ramirent Group’s operations in Sweden, has decided to leave the company “by mutual agreement” as of Oct. 9. The Vantaa, Finland-based international rental giant has begun a search for a successor, with Ramirent president and CEO Magnus Rosen acting as interim managing director of the Swedish subsidiary until a successor is named.

Dahlsten, a 26-year veteran of the construction equipment and equipment rental industry, worked for NCC Construction and Altima, which was outsourced to Ramirent in 2004.

“During the course of his career, Dahlsten worked various managerial roles at NCC and Altima and he was instrumental in the integration of Altima with Ramirent as its chief financial officer before finally landing in the position of senior vice president of Ramirent Group’s Sweden segment in 2009,” said Rosen. “I have respect for Peter’s contribution to the development of this industry and highly appreciate the value that Peter has delivered to our Swedish business.”

Ramirent has 394 branches in 13 countries in the Nordic region, Central and Eastern Europe.
