Polaris Industries, a manufacturer of off-road vehicles, has partnered with SmartEquip to provide after-market product support and electronic parts procurement technologies for rental companies working with its fleet sales division. By joining the SmartEquip network, Polaris Fleet Sales increases its ability to support key product activities for electronic procurement of parts and accessories.
SmartEquip allows Polaris to continue enhancing the buying process for every fleet manager, no matter the location or number of offices.
“As more and more fleets realize the value off-road vehicles can bring to their companies, we need to ensure we have the best platform in place to support the increasing demands,” said Marc Tullemans, Polaris national accounts director. “SmartEquip is a well-known platform and highly regarded by many of our existing rental customers, making this an ideal partnership.”
Fleet managers will now be able to log into one system and order parts from most vendors, locate their own part numbers and pricing and have parts shipped to the end user location.
“Due to greater transactional efficiency of identifying and purchasing parts, Polaris customers will benefit from a reduced cost of ownership for equipment as well as the operational efficiency of receiving asset-specific support information,” said Alex Schuessler, president of SmartEquip’s International Group.
