SmartEquip has entered into an agreement with Tejas Equipment Rental to join the SmartEquip Network. Utilizing SmartEquip’s integrated workplace technology, Tejas will receive real-time customized product, parts and service support for its equipment fleet, as well as procurement capabilities to automate electronic purchasing with its suppliers.

The relationship with Tejas is particularly significant for SmartEquip, which recently extended and adapted its e-FleetPro system to enable mid-market rental companies to integrate with its network of rental companies and suppliers.

The SmartEquip implementation will enable Tejas Equipment Rental to streamline its internal workflow and provide significant improvements in both operational and transactional efficiencies across the equipment lifecycle. Tejas will utilize SmartEquip technology to leverage its capabilities in shop efficiency and procurement, and to increase uptime and operating efficiency of its fleet.

SmartEquip users include 75 percent of the construction equipment locations of the top 20 of the RER 100. The company is now enabling mid-market companies such as Tejas Equipment Rental to benefit from the same type of value.

Tejas Equipment Rental has been serving the equipment rental needs of South Texas since 1975. Tejas has six locations in San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley area and offers brands such as JLG, Wacker Neuson, Genie, John Deere and Bobcat.

SmartEquip supports more than 100 OEM brands and its customers’ fleets exceed 20 billion dollars in total value across more than 4,000 locations. The company is headquartered in Norwalk, Conn.
