Al Kropp, owner of Schererville, Ill.-based Kropp Equipment, died unexpectedly in his sleep last Friday morning. Kropp was 67.
Kropp’s son Kurt Kropp, vice president of the company, was Kropp’s business partner and will continue to run the aerial equipment rental company, which focuses on rental of aerial work platforms, forklifts, telehandlers, and carry-deck cranes. The company has four branches.
Al Kropp founded Kropp Equipment in 1975 and the company has primarily serviced the Chicago area, northwest Indiana, and Wisconsin.
Kropp is also survived by another son and daughter.
