Serious Labs Names Skyjack President Brad Boehler to Board of Directors
Serious Labs, the world leader in virtual reality solutions for training and operations of cranes and aerial work platforms announced that Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack, has joined its board of directors. Boehler will advise on business and strategy topics and provide counsel regarding the compliance of VR simulators with a variety of standards. The appointment of Buehler expands the board to seven members.
Since joining Skyjack in 2003, Boehler has progressively held strategic positions, including vice president of engineering and vice president of sales and marketing. Before joining Skyjack, Boehler obtained his bachelor of engineering science from the University of Western Ontario, and holds the designation of professional engineer. He began his career as a military engineer with the Canadian Armed Forces.
“We are delighted to welcome Brad to our board of directors,” said Jim Colvin, CEO of Serious Labs. “Brad’s strong safety background and his deep knowledge of the industry are unparalleled. His diverse insights will be a valuable addition to the board as we grow and improve the future of operator training around the world.”
Boehler currently serves on a number of boards, such as deputy president of the International Powered Access Federation, a global, non-profit promoting the safe and effective use of powered access equipment, and chairs the ANSI A92.6 subcommittee, which is responsible for the U.S. standards on mobile elevating work platforms. In 2017, Boehler was elected to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers construction equipment sector board.
“I am pleased to have been elected to the Serious Labs board of directors and I look forward to helping them reconstruct reality to the benefit of workers across the globe,” Boehler said.
