The deal was Hugg & Hall’s second major acquisition in less than two years, acquiring five-state forklift dealer Arkla Taylor in May 2011.
Westquip, a President’s Award-winning Toyota Industrial Equipment dealer for Toyota forklifts in central and western Oklahoma offers the largest selection of rental forklifts in Oklahoma, according to Hugg & Hall. Westquip has 25 factory-trained service technicians and fully equipped service trucks stocked with parts and tools for all makes of industrial equipment. Also, Westquip sells forklifts for special applications from other manufacturers, such as Hoist, Sellick, Combilift and Mariotti. The company, which was founded by Fred Stanley and Bob Gilson, recently celebrated 30 years in business.
“The alliance with Westquip, a leader in Oklahoma material handling, will provide a vital link to better serve our expanding customer base in this region,” said John Hugg, president of Hugg & Hall Equipment Co. “This dealership addition strengthens Hugg & Hall’s commitment to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction for the markets we serve in Arkansas, Louisiana, East Texas, Southern Missouri and now Oklahoma.”
“We look forward to continuing to enthusiastically support our customers’ material handling needs with high-quality products and services, delivered on time at a fair price,” added Robert Hall, vice president of Hugg & Hall.
“Westquip’s valued customers will see a seamless transfer of quality support,” said Fred Stanley, founder and president of Westquip. “The success and growth of Westquip could not have been possible without the support of our customers and the outstanding, talented and dedicated team of associates who will remain with the dealership.”
