A look at who's where in the equipment rental and manufacturing industries.

Komatsu America announced several management changes at its Vernon Hills, Ill., headquarters, including the retirement of chairman Arlie Tucker. David Grzelak was named chairman and CEO of Komatsu Mining Systems, replacing Edson McCord, who was named general manager of Komatsu USA Development Center. James Boyle replaced Grzelak as chairman and CEO of Komatsu America International, and Michael Fraser replaced Boyle as president of Komatsu Financial.

Horizon High Reach, a Fresno, Calif.-based rental company and national distributor of UpRight scaffolds, promoted Stu Cohen to U.S. product manager for scaffolds. He is responsible for the sales, distribution and marketing of UpRight scaffolds.

JLG Industries appointed James Woodward Jr. senior vice president and chief financial officer, replacing Charles Diller Jr. Woodward joined the McConnellsburg, Pa.-based firm after spending the last 18 years with Dana, most recently as vice president, director of e-business.

Selma, Calif.-based UpRight named Rick Iobst plant manager at the company's Madera, Calif., factory and Stephen McBride vice president of information technology. Previously, Iobst managed scissor lift plants at JLG Industries, and McBride was the director of management information systems at Elixir Industries.

Steve Simons was named marketing services manager at Rosco Manufac-turing in Madison, S.D. He has more than 18 years' experience in advertising, public relations and marketing communications.

Stellar Industries, based in Garner, Iowa, appointed Kirk Uhlenhopp regional hook lift sales manager for the Midwest. He has been with Stellar since 1994, working most recently in its customer service department.

OmniQuip Textron announced two management changes at its Port Washington, Wis., headquarters. Bert Thompson was named vice president, sales and marketing for material handling technologies, and David O'Dell was named vice president, sales and marketing for Snorkel International. Thompson will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the Lull and Sky Trak product lines.

Skyjack, based in Guelph, Ontario, named six senior officers. They are Robert Campbell, vice president, marketing; P. Douglas MacDonald, vice president, national accounts; Annette Pritchard, vice president, operations; David Stewart, vice president, sales, North America; Sheila Whaley, vice president, human resources; and Floris van Dam, managing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Stephen Biersdorf was promoted to director of international services by the Construction Industry Manufac-turers Association in Milwaukee. He joined CIMA in 1992, serving most recently as international marketing manager.

John Wagner was named a district manager by Stone Construction Equipment, headquartered in Honeoye, N.Y. He will serve rental centers and equipment dealers in Illinois, Kansas and Missouri.

Ron Blair was named rental sales representative at Fabick Power Systems in Fenton, Mo. He joined the company in 1986.

Putzmeister America expanded Tom Teubel's title to vice president-sales and marketing. He had been vice president-sales for the Sturtevant, Wis.-based manufacturer of concrete pumps and conveyors. The company also named Jonathan Omer marketing manager.

Equipment rental Web site Rentmaker added three individuals to its board of directors and three to its board of advisers. The new directors are Jerry Blumberg, former executive vice president at E.I. Du Pont de Nemours; Charlie Heller, senior principal with Gabriel Venture Partners; and Jim Ramich, venture partner with Gabriel. The new advisers are Kalidas Madhavpeddi, vice president of business development at Phelps Dodge; Dimitris Bertsimas, Boeing professor of operations research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and Apurv Bagri, managing director of the Metdist Group.
