A-Plant, a national U.K. rental company owned by Ashtead, which also owns Sunbelt Rentals, has opened a new Tool Hire Express store at Park Royal, London. The branch is located on the Tudor Estate, Abbey Road, and offers a wide range of equipment for rental or sale to builders, contractors, and homeowners in North and Northwest London.
The Tool Hire Express branches are located in and around city centers and have been introduced to meet the growing demand for customers working on office construction projects and repair and maintenance contracts, as well as facilities management work. The stores are designed to be easily accessible, allowing customers to quickly part onsite and call in to pick up equipment.
“At A-Plant, reducing carbon footprint is a key driver and this new branch will help us to run our transport fleet more efficiently,” said A-Plant regional sales director for London Steve King. “We can rapidly deliver equipment to customers in North and Northwest London, whilst making it economical and convenient for our customers to collect equipment from us and be back onsite almost immediately.
“We carry out a great deal of business in London and Park Royal was identified as a key growth area with lots of potential. We already have a Tool Hire Express store in London City and our new Park Royal location will allow us to serve even more customers around the capital with our smaller equipment ranges.”
A-Plant has rolled out a number of Tool Hire Express stores around the country in recent months. The stores include scaffolding, power tools, wallpaper strippers, post-hold borers, lawnmowers, pressure washers, carpet cleaners, personal protective equipment and more.
As part of A-Plant’s efforts to reduce vehicle emissions, A-Plant has received Whole Fleet Accreditation under Transport for London’s Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme.
