Liebherr International last week started a project to build an excavation and construction equipment production plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia.
The new production facility will also make spare parts for the company’s aerospace business and provide after-sale service support to the Russian Gidromash and German Liebherr Aerospace.
Liebherr-International AG, headquartered in Bulle, Switzerland, plans to invest 7.3 billion rubles in the project (about U.S. $265.8 million), the company said.
