Rental software provider Solutions by Computer today announced at the Rental Show the integration of its Enfinity and CounterPro rental management systems with VeriFone Point payment processing technology.

Rental software provider Solutions by Computer today announced at the Rental Show the integration of its Enfinity and CounterPro rental management systems with VeriFone Point payment processing technology. The integration satisfies the October 1, 2015, deadline for compliance with EuroPay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) card processing.

EMV technology is the basis for a worldwide effort to enhance security in transaction processing and forestall data breaches. Newly issued credit and debit cards contain a tiny computer chip that facilitates "smart" transactions and is extremely hard to counterfeit. VeriFone Point is a leading merchant solution that streamlines the payment process for EMV-compliant cards and ensures data security.

J.J. Shea, SBC general manager, said, "We're pleased that our VeriFone integration delivers EMV compliance to our users well in advance of the October deadline. Data security has always been of paramount importance in our software design. The migration to EMV is an important step in protecting rental operations and their customers from data breaches and subsequent liability."

The EMV enhancement is available to Enfinity users in Release 3, and to CounterPro support subscribers in Release 12.

Solutions by Computer has continuously served the rental industry since 1982 by delivering mission-critical software solutions that take into account the total rental experience. The company's Enfinity rental management system has earned multiple awards for innovation, including the American Rental Association's New Product Spotlight award and Rental Equipment Register's Innovative Product Award for software.
