Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Rents last week announced the signing of a franchise agreement with 206 Enterprises of Richmond, Va., to expand the Volvo CE rental operations in the Richmond market.
206 Enterprises purchased the assets of W.E.R., Inc., a Volvo Rents franchise since late 2003. The purchase was completed in early September and the new franchise is fully operational in Midlothian, Va. 206 Enterprises plans to open additional Volvo Rents centers in the near future.
Volvo Rents began its equipment rental franchise initiative in 2001. The company now has more than 60 rental franchises open in the United States and Canada. The company also has franchise agreements under negotiations with other business interests seeking independently owned and operated franchise opportunities in the equipment rental business. The company is also expanding its operations in Europe with rental centers open in Portugal, Spain, and Italy and will soon open new centers in other European countries.
Volvo Rents is No. 16 on the RER 100.
