Lifting Gear Hire Corp. is tripling the size of its Houston warehouse, turning it into a fully functioning rental and sales facility, the company said last week. The expanded building will be 35,000 square feet with a 20,000-square-foot yard, with a 350-ton horizontal test bed allowing for the testing of LGH rental equipment and the maintenance of customer-owned machines.
More than $1 million worth of equipment will be stocked and rented from the revamped warehouse, which will also include a 25-ton vertical hoist test stand.
Based in Bridgeview, Ill., LGHC specializes in the rental, sales, service, inspection and testing of lifting and winching equipment. It stocks more than 80,000 pieces of lifting, pulling, jacking and rigging equipment through its branches in the United States, United Kingdom, Holland and Germany. It is No. 95 on the RER 100.
