Finnish rental giant Ramirent Plc has acquired Agentrade-Plusz, based in Hungary. Agentrade is the leading company in equipment rental to construction and industry in Hungary, with 18 locations, and total net sales of close to U.S. $8 million in 2004.

The acquisition strengthens Ramirent’s position in the Hungarian rental market. The company plans to integrate Agentrade into its existing Ramirent Hungary operations.

Ramirent is the leading equipment rental company in the Nordic countries as well as Central and Eastern Europe. Based in Helsinki, Ramirent has more than 240 branches in 11 countries and employs more than 2,400 people. Total volume for 2004 was about U.S. $395 million.
