Manitex International, a provider of boom truck and rough-terrain cranes, rough-terrain forklifts, electric industrial forklifts, special mission-oriented vehicles, container handling equipment and specialized engineered trailers, has been named to the Forbes Magazine’s “America’s Best Small Companies” list, listed at No. 44.
According to Forbes, the list compiles “an annual ranking of America’s Best Small Companies that have experienced strong growth over the past five years. The 2013 list highlights public companies with sales under $1 billion, which are ranked based on return on equity, sales growth and earnings growth over the past year and the past five years.”
Forbes’methodology also factored in stock performance versus each company’s peer group during the past 12 months. Through Sept. 30, Manitex shares had increased 53 percent year-to-date.
Manitex is based in Bridgeview, Ill.
