Wacker Neuson’s sixth annual Trowel Challenge competition held at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas reached a close finish with one second between the first- and third-place finishers’ times. More than 150 trowel operators tested their trowel operating skill by maneuvering around an obstacle course. The grand prize is a custom 48-inch CRT 48-35VX ride-on trowel powered by a Vanguard Big Block engine.
The first-place winner was David Ray of Molzahn Construction, Worland, Wyo., followed by Greg Geiger of On Demand Concrete Solutions, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and, in third place, Douglas Garber, B Concrete Inc., Brookville, Ohio.
