Honda Power Equipment brings to market its new HS720 series of premium residential snow blowers. Powered by a lightweight OHC Honda GC190 engine, the HS720 series was designed to provide improved fuel economy and power output over previous models. The GC190 premium residential engine was chosen because it is quiet, easy to start, and durable in cold weather conditions, according to Honda. The new HS720AS adds a 120-volt AC electric starter.
The HS720 can clear up to 55 tons of snow per hour, per the manufacturer, discharging that snow up to 33 feet away. It is designed to clear a 20-inch width at heights of 12 feet. A semi self-propelled auger assist feature comes standard to increase speed of snow removal by aiding in propulsion when needed. Other features include the Honda dual operator area control and a 220-degree quick chute feature.
