Atlas Copco Completes Acquisition of National Pump & Compressor in Illinois

Atlas Copco’s U.S.-based Quincy Compressor LLC has finalized the acquisition of National Pump & Compressor’s air compressor business in Illinois.

Quincy will open a new company store that will serve as a base for the sale and servicing of Quincy’s products in the Illinois region. The business being purchased has distributed Quincy products for more than 60 years.

About 45 employees will join Quincy Compressor through the acquisition.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Atlas Copco is an industrial group that produces compressors, expanders and air treatment systems, construction and mining equipment, power tools and assembly systems. Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area provides industrial compressors, gas and process compressors and expanders, air and gas treatment equipment and air management systems. It has a global service network and offers specialty rental services.
