McConnellsburg, Pa-based JLG Industries, a subsidiary of Oshkosh Truck Corp., last week announced that the company received eight product awards from six publications in competitions held during 2006. The six publications cover a variety of industries, and selection of the products were made by the magazines’ readers in some instances and by editorial choice in others.
“We’re very appreciative of the media’s recognition of the effort that has gone into making these successful products,” said Craig Paylor, senior vice president of marketing. “The awards reflect our commitment to listening to our customers, the creativity of our engineering group to design products to meet their needs and the capability of our manufacturing to produce the products in a timely manner.”
JLG’s new compact telehandlers earned awards from four different publications. The compact telehandlers were cited by Construction Equipment as one of the Top 100 products of 2006; Compact Equipment recognized them as one of fifteen 2006 Innovative Products; Lift Applications & Equipment selected them as one of the Best of 2006; and RER named them as an Innovative Product Award Finalist.
The JLG Model 1350SJP telescoping boom lift, with a JLG’s integrated SkyPower generator and SkyWelder accessories, was voted as a Contractor’s Choice Aerial by readers of Roads & Bridges, while readers of Electrical Contracting Products voted the Model 20MVL self-propelled 20-ft. vertical lift as the outstanding product of 2006 in the Vehicles & Accessories Category.
The Toucan series of mast-style lifts was the RER Innovative Product Award Finalist in the lift categoryand was named one of the Best of 2006 in Lift Applications & Equipment.
