Haulotte Posts 9.3 Percent Sales Increase for the First Nine Months of 2021
Haulotte recorded consolidated sales of €112.1 million in the third quarter of 2021, a 9 percent increase compared to the same period last year, despite component supply difficulties. At the end of September 2021, sales amounted to €355.3 million year to date, compared to €325.1 million last year, an increase of 9.3 percent.
In North America, the trend observed in the first half of the year continued into the third quarter, enabling Haulotte to record a 38-percent increase in sales for all its activities. Growth in this region continues to be driven by the aerial work platform sales, which increased by 46 percent.
In Europe, Haulotte recorded sales growth of 7 percent for the first nine months of the year. In Asia-Pacific, Haulotte achieved its best performance of the year in the third quarter, but still posted cumulative sales decrease of 12 percent.
In Latin America, Halotte posted a 57-percent increase in its cumulative sales, in line with that posted for the first half of 2021.
At the end of September 2021, equipment sales increased by 8 percent for the year from €283.2 million to €302.8 million, rental activity by 32 percent from €9.3 million to €12.3 million and finally service activities by 24 percent from €32.6 million to €40.2 million.
The continuation of the sales momentum has enabled Haulotte to consolidate its historic order book level. However, given the confirmation of supply difficulties and strong price increase in components, Haulotte confirms its forecast of sales growth by more than 15 percent compared to 2020 and its objective of a current operating margin (excluding foreign exchange gains and losses) between 3 and 4 percent of revenue.
Haulotte is headquarterd in L'Horme, France, with U.S. headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va.
