Family-owned equipment hire company, Kennards Hire has officially opened its latest purpose-built branch in Mount Maunganui, bringing its branch network in New Zealand to 26, according to the company's website https://www.kennards.com.au/
Home to around 20,000 people, Mount Maunganui is a developing industrial area. Between the port and growing population, the area is set to expand residentially and commercially with the new branch well positioned to offer an extensive range of equipment to support local trades, residential and commercial construction, as well as DIY enthusiasts across The Mount. It also gives Kennards Hire the opportunity to engage with some innovative operators in Mount Manganui on a larger commercial scale.
New Zealand general manager Tom Kimber said, “Kennards Hire is committed to investing in the local area and supporting growth and infrastructure improvements with our extensive equipment offering and great service.
“And, as a family-owned business, it’s important to us that we support the communities that our people live and work in. We are looking forward to working with our charity partner, KidsCan, to team up with a local school through our School Buddy program. This program enables our people to get involved in their community through both volunteering and providing equipment to a participating school for working bees and school beautification projects.”
Branch manager Mike Perkin is leading the Mount Maunganui location and is joined by experienced equipment hire professionals Craig Whitaker, Michelle Noble and Blake Scrivener. The team has years of combined experience, so getting the right advice for the job at hand will be easy for DIY and commercial construction customers alike, the company said. Along with the experienced group, Kennards Hire has employed three new staff from the local area to complement the team.
The new branch extends an already established local network with the Kennards Hire Tauranga branch, which has been successfully running for four years.
The official opening took place last week, June 18, with the occasion marked by an innovative ‘travelling opening’ with Kennards Hire taking the branch opening to its customers.
The Kennards Hire business development crew have been visiting customers on their worksites and providing their entire crew with a free coffee and merchandise to welcome them into the Kennards Hire Mount Manganui family.
Kennards Hire is headquartered in Australia.
The branch is open 7 days a week, 7am–5pm Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5pm Saturday and 8am–4pm Sundays.
