Haulotte Enjoys 25-Percent Sales Increase in Third Quarter
French mobile elevating work platform and telehandler manufacturer Haulotte posted €128.5 million in consolidated sales in the third quarter, a 25-percent increase compared to the same period last year. For the first three quarters of 2018, Haulotte sales totaled €413.9 million compared to €363 million in sales for the same period a year ago, a 14-percent jump.
In North America, cumulative sales increased 9 percent, still driven by the fast growth of the aerial work platforms business. In Europe, Haulotte’s sales grew 21 percent, driven by strong demand from major rental companies in most markets. Asia Pacific did well in the quarter, with 13-percent growth, mainly driven by China. Recovery continued strong for Haulotte in the Latin American market, excluding Argentina. The group posted an 11 percent sales increase.
Equipment sales increased 20 percent for the company and the services business grew 5 percent. The company’s rental business dropped 12 percent.
Haulotte Group confirmed its outlook for 2018 and expects to post revenue growth of greater than 10 percent.
Haulotte last week increased its stake to 100 percent in its Turkish distributor Acarlar Makine. Haulotte is based in France, with U.S. headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va.
