Global aerial rental specialist Riwal has entered into an agreement with SmartEquip to support its parts and service operations worldwide. Riwal, which has 57 locations in 16 countries, including Europe, the Middle East and India, will utilize SmartEquip’s Enterprise application to automate and streamline orders for spare parts and materials. The SmartEquip implementation is scheduled to begin in Spain and roll out across the entire company within 18 months.
“SmartEquip’s online parts ordering system will allow us to increase efficiency by reducing costs associated with internal service, parts inventory and back-office,” said Søren Rosenkrands, Riwal chief operating officer. “In addition, we will be able to improve our service even further as SmartEquip will enable us to increase fleet availability and uptime for our customers.”
Riwal CEO Norty Turner said SmartEquip’s service will help Riwal increase operating efficiency and improve customer service.
“By actively supporting its global equipment footprint, we will increase equipment uptime, while also reducing the cost of fleet service and spare parts transactions, both for Riwal and also for its preferred suppliers,” said Dr. Alexander Schuessler, SmartEquip founder and president of its international group. “We are proud to have been included in the company’s ‘Riwal Way’ project, which already has proven to be very successful in increasing operating efficiency and improving customer service.”
