Jim Gould, U.K. Manufacturer and Rental Company Owner, Dies
Jim Gould, founder and managing director of Crestchic Loadbanks, manufacturer of specialized loadbanks and testing solutions, died last week at the age of 79, following a recent illness. Gould founded Crestchic in 1983 along with sons David and Jonathan, and brother-in-law Ron Bancroft, in Burton-upon-Trent, U.K.
In 2006, the business was acquired by Northbridge Industrial Services Plc. Gould remained with the company and played an active role in the business until days before his death. Gould also created a U.K. and international loadbank rental business.
Crestchic remains in Burton-upon-Trent, with sales offices in France, the Netherlands and the United States, with agents in Brazil, Russia, Germany and South Korea. Many of the 70 staff members have been with the company for 25 years or more.
