BlueLine Rental Partners with OEMs for Large Equipment Rodeo
BlueLine Rental recently held a large equipment rodeo at its third annual meeting in Orlando, Fla., continuing its focus on people development and partnerships. The rodeo was held at Ritchie Bros.’ Orlando auction facility, with the participation of selected equipment manufacturers.
Each manufacturer put their equipment to the test in head-to-head rodeo challenges. Stations were set up by type of equipment and included scissorlifts, boomlifts, excavators, mini-excavators, skid-steer loaders, backhoes and telehandlers. The BlueLine team completed a challenge at each equipment station, offering the opportunity to test the controls and specific features of each machine.
The goal of the equipment rodeo was to provide dynamic product training for BlueLine employees and give them the chance to experience equipment first-hand from the operator’s point of view.
“The foundation of ‘Selling the BlueLine Way’ (our sales methodology) is understanding a customer’s pain points and proposing a solution for that pain,” said BlueLine Rental CEO Asterios Satrazemis. “Now that every one of our sales reps has operated a Case backhoe side-by-side with a John Deere and JCB backhoe, they are better equipped to propose solutions and not just sell features and benefits found in a spec sheet.”
The event was made possible through the partnerships BlueLine solidified over the past year with Ritchie Bros. as well as participating manufacturers including JLG, Case, Skyjack, Genie, JCB, John Deere, Kobelco, Gehl, Bobcat and Takeuchi.
“JLG has had the pleasure of partnering with BlueLine and it is evident that many positive changes have taken place over the past year,” said Tim Morris, senior vice president, sales, JLG Industries. “The new leadership’s direction has dramatically transformed the pride and attitudes of the BlueLine organization and employees. The foundation for success has been firmly established and the future looks very positive.”
