Point of Rental has named Matthew Ross its first chief financial officer, a move that reflects his role in building Point of Rental’s financial strategy and the company’s growth in recent years.
“When I joined Point of Rental in 2021, we’d just acquired Rental Hosting and we had plans to grow quickly. We’ve been on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies every year since, and I’m proud of how we’ve handled the additional complexities that growth brings,” said Ross. “I look forward to working with our team to keep growing Point of Rental’s worldwide impact.”
Previously the company’s senior vice president of global finance, Matthew has overseen the company’s acquisition of Record360 and continued expansion within the U.K., Australia, and South Africa markets. As CFO, he will continue to guide the company’s complex financial landscape.
“We’ve experienced steady growth over the years, leading to bigger and more complex projects,” said Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris. “Matthew’s approach to planning and budgeting has laid a strong foundation for our future growth, and we look forward to building on that foundation with him as our CFO.”
Before joining Point of Rental, Matthew started his career at Lockheed Martin as a financial analyst. While there, he completed his MBA with a concentration in global strategy. From there he joined Active Network, an international SaaS company, as a senior treasury analyst and worked his way up to senior finance manager. When the company was acquired, he joined Aspira and became the company’s vice president of finance accounting.
