H&E Equipment Services opened a new branch in Savannah, Ga., this week. H&E’s nearest branches are in Atlanta; Charleston, S.C.; and Jacksonville, Fla., and 77 branches nationwide.
The new branch will primarily serve customers in eastern Georgia and southern South Carolina. The 12,500-square-foot facility sits on three acres with a fully fenced and paved yard area, offices, parts warehouse, and a three-bay repair shop. The Savannah branch will include aerial lifts, telescopic forklifts, earthmoving and general construction equipment.
“With economic recovery and growth in the industrial, tourism, port authority, and military sectors, we see tremendous opportunity to serve equipment customers in Savannah with our unique full-service approach to this business,” said Joseph Sheffield, Savannah branch manager. “So much so, in fact, that we chose not to delay entering this market until we could build a new facility, but rather found a suitable location to establish our presence right away. This is our first step, but we have plans to move forward with a large design-build facility within the next two years. Our staff is a professional group of seasoned veterans with an average tenure of more than 15 years. They are local experts in equipment rentals, sales, parts and service. We look forward to introducing customers to the full-service difference here at H&E.”
The facility provides new and used equipment sales, in-shop and mobile service, a comprehensive parts inventory, training and other value-added services.
Based in Baton Rouge, La., H&E Equipment Services is No. 7 on the RER 100.
