Texas First Rentals based in San Antonio, Texas, has entered into an agreement to be part of the SmartEquip Network to automate its service processes, increase technician productivity, eliminate parts-order errors and improve uptime of its rental fleet. The integration of the SmartEquip and Wynne Systems RentalMan will allow Texas First to automate workflow for parts and service, and leverage integrations with the manufacturers of more than 160 brands of equipment that participate in the SmartEquip network.
Texas First Rentals is a Cat Rental Store operation associated with Holt Cat and operates eight locations in Texas, offering Caterpillar equipment as well as aerial work platforms, pumps, welders, concrete and masonry equipment, and more.
“Holt Cat has been working with customers in Texas for over eight decades and understands the importance of service, safety, quality and high performance,” said Don Myrick, Texas First Rentals general manager. “At Texas First Rentals honesty, straight talk and utilizing the latest in technology is key to optimizing efficiency and building a strong relationship with customers. SmartEquip technology will enable Texas First to streamline our internal workflow, eliminating over half of the steps in the typical repair and maintenance process, not only reducing costs, but also improving productivity of both technicians and parts administrators. We believe that using SmartEquip technology to compress repair times will result in improved fleet availability for our customers and revenues for Texas First Rentals.”
“Our goal is to drive increased profitability for fleet owners, manufacturers and their dealers by integrating both their procurement systems and operational processes,” said Fernando Pinera, SmartEquipment chief operating officer. “Over 40 Caterpillar dealers are integrated to the SmartEquip network to support fleets with Caterpillar equipment, and we are excited to see that Texas First will be using our technology to support their own rental fleets.”
