Hertz Equipment Rental China Honored as Powered Access Pioneer
Hertz Equipment Rental Corp. was awarded the Powered Access Pioneer in the International Awards for Powered Access for its work in expanding the powered access market in China.
The awards, jointly organized by Access International and International Powered Access Federation, celebrate best practices and excellence in the powered access industry. The Powered Access Pioneer award is given to a manufacturer, dealer or rental company that excelled in developing and growing the use of aerial work platforms in new geographical regions or into new sectors of already established markets.
“We are honored to be recognized for our contribution to the powered access market in China by the International Awards for Powered Access,” said Brian MacDonald, president and CEO, HERC. “Hertz China has been a pioneer in powered access since HERC China began operations in 2008. Since that time, we have grown our business by educating customers, project owners and the government on the applications and importance of aerial, including helping to re-write legislation on aerial work at height.”
“Since entering the China equipment rental market in 2008, we have worked diligently to partner with our customers, manufacturers and the government to encourage safe work practices in the construction environment,” added Jay Early, vice president of HERC International. “Our team in China has introduced aerial work platforms on a wide variety of projects, improving both safety and productivity versus traditional building methods.”
Hertz Equipment Rental China is based in Shanghai and serves markets throughout central China with aerial equipment, air compressors, generators, earthmoving, paving and material handling equipment.
