Magnum Offers New Light Towers and Mobile Generator at The Rental Show

Feb. 19, 2015
Magnum, a leading manufacturer of mobile power products, will be exhibiting its new MLT6S light tower, MLT4000 SD solar hybrid light tower and MMG45 mobile generator at The Rental Show in New Orleans this week.

Magnum, a leading manufacturer of mobile power products, will be exhibiting its new MLT6S light tower, MLT4000 SD solar hybrid light tower and MMG45 mobile generator at The Rental Show in New Orleans this week. The company said the new light towers and generators will help Magnum meet growing market demands as total revenue for the equipment rental industry is predicted to increase 8.1 percent in 2015 to reach $38.5 billion in the United States, according to the American Rental Association.

“Rental companies require solutions for their customers that enhance performance and maximize productivity,” said Terry Dolan, executive vice president of Generac’s mobile products division, the business unit that combines Magnum Power Products, light towers and MAC heaters. “These new products lower operating costs, delivering a significant return on investment for customers working in specialized applications, including oil and gas operations, and road and industrial construction.”

The MLT6S and MLT4000 are designed to optimize operating costs for rental customers. The MLT6S is a vertical mast light tower that provides extended service intervals ranging up to 750 hours. It has the largest fuel tank in its class, the company says, which reduces refueling requirements and increases worksite productivity. Up to 19 MLT6S units can be transported on a 53-foot flatbed truck, which helps lower transportation costs and the design enables faster loading and unloading at job sites and rental yards.

Solar hybrid towers are also an option. The MLT4000 SD has three deployable solar panels that can yield up to 780 watts of solar power. It can also operate on diesel fuel.

The MMG45 mobile generator has advanced sound attenuation at 65 dB when operating at full load. At full load, the generator has a 24-hour run time, and is managed through a Power Zone controller with a 7-inch color display.

Magnum, a Generac company, is headquartered in Berlin, Wis. The company will be exhibiting in Booth 8321 at The Rental Show.
