Temporary power and temperature control rental specialist Aggreko announced Chris Weston has assumed his position as CEO as of Jan. 2. Weston had been named to the position May 29, 2014. Ken Hanna has returned to his previous role as non-executive chairman.
Weston will spend his first few months with the company traveling around the business, meeting employees and other key stakeholders.
“[Aggreko] is a fascinating business with a great product, fantastic culture and attractive markets and I look forward to working with the management team to develop the company further in the coming years,” Weston said. “I would like to thank Ken Hanna for assuming the role of executive chairman and leading the business over the last few months.”
Weston most recently was managing director, international downstream, at Centrica plc, where he was responsible for both British Gas in the U.K. and Direct Energy in the United States.
Aggreko plc, based in Scotland with headquarters in Houston, is No. 6 on the RER 100.
