MEC Aerial Work Platforms shipped its first two MEC 6092RT scissorlifts to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada-based 4-Way Equipment Rentals. MEC said the 6092RT scissorlifts are the largest scissorlifts produced in North America, surpassing the MEC 5492RT.
The machine was designed to give construction contractors a new option at the 66-foot working height range, which has primarily been serviced by boomlifts. The machine is powered by a Kubota turbo diesel engine, with a lift capacity of 1,200 pounds up to a platform height of 60 feet. The machine features dual rollout decks providing 24 feet, 9 inches of workspace. Auto leveling outriggers for slope correction are standard on the 6092RT and lift and drive controls are fully proportional from the control box on the platform. Also standard is four-wheel drive.
“As construction projects get larger and more complex, so do the lift needs of our customers,” said Marc Mandin, chief operating officer of 4-Way Equipment Rentals, which is No. 90 on the RER 100.
